Truck-Lite finalizes acquisition of Trackpoint Systems

Truck-Lite Co. has completed the acquisition of TrackPoint Systems.

Truck-Lite entered a joint development project with TrackPoint in January 2017 with the goal of communicating information from Truck-Lite’s Light-Out Detection System to a fleet’s back office. TrackPoint’s solar-powered and wireless capabilities significantly complemented the Road Ready by Truck-Lite technology roadmap, the company says; since then, Road Ready by Truck-Lite has developed into an independent business unit.
