Where truck tire telematics rubber meets the ROI road

Tires are a constant cost for fleets, but tire telematics technology as a segment has lagged behind others like driver training and behavior improvement, fuel efficiency opportunities, safety and remote diagnostics. P.S.I.’s TireView Live aims to change that. During a recent P.S.I.-hosted event, I got a fresh look at the tire telematics platform that has evolved dramatically since it’s unveiling at NACV in 2019. ROI-focused, actionable analytics was the focus of the presentation given by Jonathan Gravell, vice president of business development, PSI.

Once the event dust settled, I followed up with Gravell to talk more about how fleets can generate, capture and, most importantly, use tire data to help reduce overall tire costs. From early out-of-service tires to roadside repairs, we talked about the common tire service headaches and what data shows us in able to avoid those types of situations. Watch the video above for all of his insight.

The overview that started it all

Here’s the aforementioned presentation that Gravell gave at the P.S.I. event last November for another look at how P.S.I. puts tire data to work.
