Five truck trend takeaways from July

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not quite ready for the leaves to start falling. The first of August marks the beginning of the end. It’s soon time to turn off the A/C and crank up the heat. Before you know it, Christmas will be right around the corner! … maybe I’m getting ahead of myself. Perhaps I should give you the run down of our popular stories from July before I think about putting up my tree. Here’s our top five videos, podcasts, and stories we don’t want you to miss!

5. Daimler’s electrifying strategy

The discussion of electrification continues to grow causing OEMs to consider a multitude of sustainability routes they can take. When it comes to DTNA, they are committed to not only taking the greener path by investing in the zero-emissions vehicle space, but also continuing to fulfill customer expectations while doing so.

4. An information innovation

Data can be a great tool–as long as you know how to ingest it. 3. Safety first!

It’s easy to get ahead of yourself. Ideas can be exciting and so can planning them out. As the talk of EV technology maintains its spot in the headlines, there are somethings you might want to ask yourself when it comes to the charging needs of your potential fleet. Check out this On The Road to find out David’s top ten questions.

2. Combat the highway robber

We all love a good cat-and-mouse chase movie. Classic movies like Smokey and the Bandit or The French Connection make for a thrilling ride along. However, I think it’s best to leave the chasing to the actors on screen. Catching a trailer thief won’t be nearly as fun as the movies make it out to be. In this Unscripted Interview, Jason catches up with Ray Kosick, product manager, GPS Insight, to discuss trailer tracking technology and theft protection.

1. Avoiding battery burnout

We all know now the impact that heat can have on the life of a battery. What should drivers be looking out for and what can be done to lessen the damage caused by the summer heat? Find out in this new Data Center as Jason and Tess explore the options for battery health and maintenance.
