At a press event before CES, Daimler Trucks North America’s (DTNA) Dr. Andreas Juretzka, Electric Mobility Trucks, discussed electric truck technology and strategy. DTNA announced the fully electric heavy-duty Class 8 Freightliner eCascadia and the medium-duty EM2 in June of 2018. Since then, DTNA delivered the first Innovation Fleet vehicle–an EM2–to Penske and put Fleet Equipment behind the wheel of the eCascadia.
