Watch: Discussing Freightliner electric truck eCascadia details

At a press event before CES, Daimler Trucks North America’s (DTNA) Dr. Andreas Juretzka, Electric Mobility Trucks, discussed electric truck technology and strategy. DTNA announced the fully electric heavy-duty Class 8 Freightliner eCascadia and the medium-duty EM2 in June of 2018. Since then, DTNA delivered the first Innovation Fleet vehicle–an EM2–to Penske and put Fleet Equipment behind the wheel of the eCascadia. Watch the video above for a look at where DTNA has been and where it’s going when it comes to fully electric trucks.

"Remember that number," said Roger Alm, executive vice president of Volvo Group and president of Volvo Trucks, to a room full of journalists just days before the grand opening of the World of Volvo, a "brand experience" building in Gothenburg, Sweden.
