In January, Daimler Trucks North America (DNTA) announced that the Detroit Assurance 5.0 suite of safety systems would enable the OEM to put the first Level 2 automated heavy-duty truck on the road when the model year 2020 Freightliner new Cascadia rolls off the line later this year.
