Wheel-Check says its loose wheel nut indicator can help a driver inspect his or her wheels for loose wheel nuts and brake and bearing problems.
When the wheel nuts are properly torqued to specs, the indicators are placed on the wheel nuts in a uniform pattern. Once a wheel nut has loosened, the indicator will become out of sequence, the company says. The driver can then have the wheel serviced.
Additionally, Wheel-Check says, a brake and bearing issue can also be identified by the blistering of the indicator.
