Data Dis announces integration with PeopleNet

Data Dis Inc.'s maintenance inspection reporting in real time, a CMMS system for comprehensive fleet maintenance and enterprise asset life cycle management, now has added integration with PeopleNet for more accuracy.

Data Dis Inc., a provider of fleet maintenance software technology, announced its software integration with PeopleNet, an onboard computing and carrier fleet communications provider.

According to the company, maintenance inspection reporting in real time (MIR-RT) is a powerful and intuitive CMMS system for comprehensive fleet maintenance and enterprise asset life cycle management and is the core technology offering from Data Dis. Designed for optimized maintenance management, MIR-RT is a centralized information system for scheduling, managing, analyzing and reporting on all aspects of maintenance, including preventive maintenance (PMs), work orders, maintenance requests, inventory, barcode and predictive maintenance.

The dashboard in MIR provides management with the means to quickly make more informed decisions based on accurate, real time information, the company said, adding that with the added integration to PeopleNet, service points are realized more accurately.

Daily odometer readings will be automatically sent via PeopleNet to the MIR-RT fleet maintenance software system to ensure the advancement of service points. Drivers doing a pre-trip inspection using a report in the PeopleNet solution will have their data sent to MIR-RT where inspection faults will be recorded, ensuring compliancy and regulation. Driver message repair notes will automatically be sent to MiR so they can be managed and repairs can be quickly scheduled by shop management. Engine codes will also be sent via PeopleNet and recorded in MIR as a fault note. Notes are then easily viewed in the MIR-RT planning module for follow-up or service scheduling, the company said.

“Not only will the integrated communication solution provide an innovative compound process improvement system for our customers,” said Marc Blackburn, president of Data Dis., “MIR-RT’s integration with PeopleNet will provide the electronic pre-trip to work order link that so many companies are asking for. The integration will allow a quick transfer of back and forth data, providing more efficient, simplified communication. This will allow management to easily see issues as they arise, enabling them to prioritize repairs and get vehicles back on the road quickly.”

The company added that comprehensive data analysis tools in MIR-RT enable fleet managers and maintenance supervisors to improve transparency and control; increase automation and productivity; improve resource deployment, purchasing efficiency, claims recovery and better comply with safety regulations. It also helps them decrease costs, risk and inventory, increase their return on asset investment and better manage the total cost of operating their fleet.
