International Truck and Engine Corp., a Navistar company, has announced that it is the first company to enter line production of hybrid commercial trucks. As diesel fuel prices continue their volatility and engine emissions requirements tighten, International Truck and Engine is now producing the International DuraStar Hybrid, a diesel hybrid electric medium-duty truck that provides customers with improved fuel efficiency and reduced engine emissions, the company said.

Kendall GT-1 diesel synthetic blend oil upgraded to meet API CJ 4 quality

ConocoPhillips Company, the fourth largest U.S. lubricant supplier, announced that Kendall GT-1 Diesel synthetic blend motor oil has been upgraded to API CJ-4 quality. Kendall GT-1 Diesel is specially designed for use in diesel engines of light trucks and sport utility vehicles, and is formulated to provide wear protection, disperse soot, minimize deposits on critical engine parts, and resist viscosity breakdown even in severe services such as towing and hauling at high temperatures, according to Reginald Dias, director, commercial lubricants, ConocoPhillips Lubricants.
