John Cleese to give keynote address at Work Truck Show

British comedian John Cleese will discuss business and life at the Work Truck Show 2011, serving as the event’s keynote speaker. He will speak at the President’s Breakfast and National Truck Equipment Association Annual Meeting on March 9.

Sterling introduces new Cummins engine for vocational applications

Sterling Truck Corp. announced the availability of a new engine from Cummins for its vocational customers. The Cummins ISL, an 8.9-L engine, is built for dump, mixer, LTL and government applications and features better fuel economy and longer maintenance intervals. The engine was on display at the 2008 NTEA Work Truck Show, and is available for order in Sterling Set-Forward L-Line 111-in. BBC model and the Set-Back L-Line 113-in. BBC model.

VMAC offers compact above-deck hydraulic compressor

VMAC has announced the release of what it describes as North America’s "lightest and most compact above-deck hydraulic air compressor available in its class," the PREDATAIR40. Delivering up to 40 CFM and 150 PSI at a dry weight of 150 lbs., the rotary-screw PREDATAIR40 provides a combination of power and compact installation.
