The new Kelly Armorsteel KLS features an 18/32-in. tread depth in a five-rib design, with a barrel-shaped footprint to optimize treadwear performance, according to Goodyear. All five ribs feature edge blades to enhance treadwear performance. The tire also features lateral sipes and slots on the three main ribs to provide excellent traction and handling, as well as a pressure distribution groove to promote uniform wear and long life. Goodyear says the tire is highly retreadable because of its four-belt package. The Kelly Armorsteel KLS is offered in 11R22.5, 11R24.5, 295/75R22.5 and 285/75R24.5 sizes.

Dunlop launches SmartWay long-haul tires

Dunlop’s FM steer, drive and trailer tires are fuel-efficient, long haul tires that qualify as EPA SmartWay-verified technology. The company said the line, when used in all positions, is expected to save owner-operators and fleets up to 4% in fuel bills, compared to using standard Dunlop long-haul tires.
