The system enables low tire pressure to be automatically detected by using electronic wheel sensors to warn the driver/operator when any tire has lost as little as 10% of its normal operating pressure.

Dill’s new Tire Pressure Gauge Check Station consists of a 0-160 PSI liquid-filled gauge, a 1/4-in. NPT filter/regulator to remove contaminants from compressed air and an access valve, all mounted on a pressure reservoir. The station allows fleets to ensure they are using accurate air gauges when checking tire pressure.

Advantage PressurePro LLC and Vehicle Management Corp. Pty. Ltd. have introduced enTIRE PressureAgent to the market. According to the companies, the product, which interfaces PressurePro’s tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) with Vehicle Management’s tire management software, enTIRE, reads, analyzes and reports tire pressure information.
New Doran 360HD Tire Pressure Monitoring System withstands excessive heat
The new Doran 360HD wireless tire pressure sensors are able to withstand temperatures up to 257 degrees F that can occur in trucks tasked with heavy loads and stop-and-go driving, their maker said. The ability to withstand such severe heat stress allows the valve-stem mounted sensors to continuously take tire pressure readings and transmit them to the in-cab display monitor. With at-a-glance status updates including a new patent-pending Green Means GOOD indicator, the Doran 360HD is suitable for fleets which must endure the rigors of frequent stops and starts – like refuse vehicles, recycling trucks, delivery fleets, and more.
New tire pressure monitors for wide-base single tires
Fleet Specialties Co. announces three new Tire Sentry systems designed for trucks and/or trailers with wide-base super-single tires. The TMA-SS Series of advanced tire pressure monitors will warn drivers of developing tire problems resulting from a loss of tire pressure at a fraction of the cost of a replacement tire, said the maker.
Advantage PressurePro releases drop-and-hook tire pressure monitoring system
Advantage PressurePro, maker of the original external tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) announced the release of their new Intelligent, “Drop-and-Hook” TPMS. The Drop-and-Hook System, a first in the market, has been designed to work specifically with multi trailer fleets, allowing automatic tethering and un-tethering of trailers to tractors.

The AirBAT tire pressure monitoring sensors are mounted on the wheel end and continually monitor tire pressure with visual alerts to detect under-inflated tires, according to the company. Under-inflated tires lead to increased fuel costs; with the current price of diesel fuel it is more important than ever that tires be properly inflated in order to save up to three percent on fuel costs, STEMCO advised.
Doran 360 SmartLink tire pressure monitoring system designed for ‘drop and hook’ fleets
The new Doran 360 SmarltLink tire pressure monitoring system was designed specifically for truck fleets with "drop and hook" trailers and is one of the most advanced tire monitoring system available, its maker said. With this system, wireless sensors are screwed-on to the valve stems of the trailer tires and the tire pressure information is sent to a trailer-mounted SmartLink receiver/transmitter that collects and transfers the data to a cab-mounted display unit. The wireless sensors mounted on the truck tires are also programmed to the monitor in the cab. When the truck is hooked to a new trailer, it only requires a simple one-button operation by the driver to drop and add the correct trailer.

The new Doran 360HD tire pressure monitoring system provides the driver ‘at- a-glance’ status updates with a new patent pending "Green Means GOOD" indicator, the maker said. This next generation system monitors up to 36 tires for truck, tractor and trailer applications with wireless tire pressure sensors that are screwed on to the valve stems and transmit a signal to a monitor in the cab. The driver is alerted through multiple alarms types (audible, location, pressure and warning symbol) and a new "Fast Leak" alarm so that low tire-pressure problems can be addressed and costly breakdowns and repairs are eliminated.
