Detroit builds 500,000th Axle
Detroit Diesel Corp. built its 500,000th Detroit Steer Axle. Produced in Redford, Mich., Detroit axles are available in a range of configuration options and are compatible with all braking systems offered by Daimler Trucks. The product line includes steer axles with weight ratings up to 20,000 lbs., rear axles up to 23,000 lbs. and tandem rear axles with ratings up to 46,000 lbs.
Meritor named standard axle supplier by Capacity Trucks
Capacity Trucks has named Meritor as its standard axle supplier. Meritor drivetrain components now available on Capacity Trucks models include front steer, and rear single and tandem axles.
