Navistar unveils International TerraStar Class 4/5 truck
At the heart of the new International TerraStar is its all-new 300 horsepower, 6.4-liter MaxxForce 7 V-8 engine, delivering 660 lb.-ft. torque, matched with a commercial-duty Allison 1000 transmission to optimize its power output, according to the company. Built on a commercial-duty platform, it has a 107-in. bumper to back-of-cab length and a 44-foot curb-to-curb turning radius.

Hendrickson Truck Suspension Systems officials announced the Steertek front steer axle is now standard on International ProStar and TranStar vehicle models. Based on proprietary design and manufacturing technology, the axle’s fabricated design saves up to 27 lbs. compared to traditional I-beam axles, the maker said.
