Bar Products said its Rislone brand’s Ring Seal Smoke Repair increases oil film viscosity to offer a solution to the following problems associated with aging engines: blow-by, exhaust smoke, engine noise, and worn pistons, rings and bearings.
The maker also said Rislone Ring Seal is a premium engine oil additive specifically formulated to increase oil viscosity and clean rings to prevent oil from blowing past the rings into the combustion chamber.
“Rislone Ring Seal Smoke Repair’s proven formula combines viscosity improvers to thicken the oil film with high-shear polymers that provide a seal for worn pistons and rings,” says Clay Parks, Bar’s Products vice president of development. “It reduces exhaust smoke, oil burning and plug-fouling. Plus, it works at any temperature.”
Ring Seal Smoke Repair can be added to engine oil at any time. It works with conventional, high-mileage and synthetic engine oil in any gasoline or diesel engine. A single bottle treats four to six quarts of oil. The company recommends adding the product at every oil change or every 2,000 miles.
