Snap-on offers budget-friendly tool box line

Snap-on said its Blue-Point storage units are ideally priced for new technicians, offering quality features at an economical price. The units feature full double-wall construction, higher-grade steel and 15,000 cubic inches of space, among other features.

Snap-on’s Blue-Point storage units are priced to allow new technicians to purchase their first tool box and get to work so they can get their second one sooner, the company said.

“Our Blue-Point storage units are built to last, providing the space you need and security you can rely on,” said Jay Serpe, product manager for Snap-on. “When techs are just starting out, they usually end up having to make some kind of sacrifice. At Snap-on, we don’t think that way. Our Blue-Point storage units are strong, secure and affordable, giving new technicians a great head start on their career. And since our storage units are built to last, they will also have a great asset when it is time to buy their next box.”

Snap-on Blue-Point storage units feature:

• Full double-wall construction, which resists the constant force of weight and vibration
• Stiffeners added between the walls to reduce stress on the box and keep the drawers from sagging
• Roll cab and top chest have a combined 15,000 cubic inches of space
• Drawers made of made of 20-gauge steel, two gauges thicker than most price-competitive boxes
• Top and bottom of the combination made with 16-gauge steel, four gauges thicker than most competitive boxes
• Higher-grade steel provides more strength, a smoother surface and better paint adhesion
• Professional construction of lock bar and drawer lock tabs
• Welded lock tabs on the back of each drawer
• Casters fastened to the box using weld nuts, so they will not loosen over time
• Drawer top edges are hemmed to double thickness for extra stiffness
• Structural integrity with double-wall construction and higher grade steel
