Disc-Lock wheel nuts designed to prevent wheel loss
According to the maker, Disc-Lock Safety Wheel Nuts are specifically designed to prevent wheel loss from commercial vehicles. The combination of lateral, bending forces and torsional forces on wheels cause the nuts to maintain their clamping force and to lock, keeping the wheels secure on the axle.

Accuride increasing North American capacity, capabilities
Accuride Corp. will invest $75 million in 2012 to strengthen product availability, quality and reliability; upgrade its manufacturing processes; and improve customer service. The first phase targets new machining lines and related equipment in the wheels business, while a second phase involves improvements at Accuride’s gunite operations.

Yokohama to raise truck tire prices Feb. 1
Yokohama Tire Corp. will increase prices up to 8% on all of its commercial truck tires in the U.S., effective Feb. 1. Additional in-line adjustments will be announced at a later date.
