High-visibility, custom-engineered Truck-Lite LED headlamps are now standard on all Freightliner Cascadia and Cascadia Evolution truck models. In January, Freightliner began offering the LED headlamps as an aftermarket and factory installed option.
LED lights, according to Freightliner, offer superior nighttime visibility and a beam pattern that reduces eyestrain for drivers and minimizes harsh headlight glare to oncoming traffic. Additionally, the LED lights reduce draw on the vehicle’s electrical system, freeing up power for other uses. The lamps underwent field-testing in a variety of extreme weather conditions.
