Hino Trucks, WABCO announce strategic partnership

Hino Trucks and WABCO Holdings Inc. have announced a strategic partnership. Under the agreement, WABCO will provide its latest generation braking control technology and a range of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for Hino Trucks’ forthcoming heavy-duty truck debut in North America.

Hino’s XL Series Class 7 and 8 trucks are slated to begin production in 2019. Under this agreement, the trucks will come with WABCO’s OnGuardActive collision mitigation system, its OnLaneAlert Lane Departure Warning System, and WABCO’s modular braking system platform mBSP to enable anti-lock braking (ABS) and ESCsmart Electronic Stability Control.

XL Specialized Trailers launches Knight MFG trailer

The Knight, a 48-ft.-long detachable gooseneck lowboy with an overall capacity of 80,000 lbs., is now available form XL dealers.

XL Specialized Trailers recently launched a new trailer model, the XL Knight 80 MFG. XL says the Knight, a 48-foot-long detachable gooseneck lowboy, has an overall capacity of 80,000 lbs. and a concentrated capacity of 70,000 lbs. in 16 ft. The company adds that the trailer offers 29 ft. of main deck loading space and a loaded deck height of 18 in.
