To deliver information about trailer location and status from supported trailer and tractor antilock braking systems (ABS) without the need for a trailer tracking platform, Qualcomm Enterprise Services has launched its Trailer ABS Connect application for its Mobile Computing Platform 110 and 200. Trailer ABS Connect provides trailer and tractor connect and disconnect event information, including time, date and location; trailer ID; MCP ID; and trailer odometer readings. It also identifies incorrect tractor-trailer parings.
The data in Trailer ABS Connect is received and transmitted via Qualcomm’s MCP110 and 200, and can be delivered directly to fleet dispatch software.
