SAF-Holland receives quality award from PACCAR

SAF-Holland is has announced that its Holland, Mich., manufacturing facility has received the Paccar 2014 50PPM Quality Award and will be added to Paccar’s list of premium suppliers.

SAF-Holland earned this recognition by meeting the OEM’s quality standards. Over a rolling 12-month period, PACCAR monitors the quality of their supplier’s parts and components to verify that product defects are below 50 parts per million (PPM). In addition, product innovation, production parts approval process (PPAP), number of warranty cases and timely delivery is also a consideration for the award. Candidates must also have quality systems in accordance with both ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 9001 in place and successfully pass Paccar performance testing.

“We continually strive and are committed to improving our quality procedures and delivery processes,” said John Wieringa, Vice President of Quality and Environmental Systems. “To have our efforts recognized by a valued customer is a great honor and a testament to the dedication of our staff and an efficient production management system,” he added.

SAF-Holland supplies fifth wheels, truck suspensions, pintle and tow hooks to PACCAR and has for more than 80 years.
