Mitsubishi Electric receives PACCAR’s 2014 Quality Achievement Award

Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America Inc. has received PACCAR’s 2014 50 PPM Quality Achievement award. This award is given to suppliers that achieve exceptional quality levels through low defective parts-per-million (PPM) for their parts and components. Mitsubishi Electric supplies PACCAR Inc. with medium- and heavy-duty starters and alternators.

PACCAR, owners of the DAF, Kenworth, and Peterbilt truck brands, monitors the quality of its suppliers’ parts and components to ensure that product defects are below 50 PPM. This standard includes both original truck production parts as well as warranty claims.

“At Mitsubishi Electric, we are always looking for ways to increase our product performance, improve our quality levels, and provide best-in-class customer service,” said Dave Stone, the company’s executive director of powertrain, body and chassis. “We are honored and proud to have received the PACCAR 50 PPM Quality Achievement award.”
