At an event this month in Denver, Colo., Fleet Equipment was given the opportunity for extensive test drives of Ford’s new 2017 Super Duty. The 2017 edition of the Super Duty is the first that the company has designed from the ground up in 18 years. FE Associate Editor Alex Crissey took the new trucks for a spin on the mountainous routes of Colorado, and snapped a few choice pictures with the truck at the beautiful Eldorado Canyon State Park. Towing capabilities of the Super Duty are as follows: 32, 500 lbs. maximum gooseneck towing capacity on F-450, 27,500 lbs. fifth-wheel towing capacity, and 21,000 lbs. conventional towing. Maximum payload for the Super Duty is now rated at 7,630 lbs.

The companies say this collaboration promises to pioneer new paths in automotive innovation.
