Marangoni Tread North America has announced the addition of a new Ringtread Extreme Performance splice-less spread axle tread, the RTL SA 16/32-in., to its XP Extreme Performance line.

Tires on a spread axle or multi-axle trailer are subject to premature wear when cornering due to tires dragging which causes lateral stress, shoulders twist, scrap, scrub, chip and tear. The RTL SA, Maranogni says, was specifically designed and engineered to help protect the tread and casing from this kind of abuse. The RTL SA includes a combination of Marangoni’s Ringtread technology and innovative compound that will increase mileage and reduce premature wear when used in spread axle or multi-axle trailer applications, according to Marangoni. This, the company says, will result in superior tire performance and the lowest total tire operating cost.
