With great connectivity comes increased vulnerability. Let’s make no bones about it: Cybersecurity needs to be taken seriously because the biggest weakness is people. Weak passwords, phishing scams and poor (or non-existent) data recovery plans are a threat to your fleet. You can’t hand-wave the threats away and assume someone with “IT” in their title is taking care of it. You have to be aware of the vulnerabilities and do your due diligence when working with connected equipment and personnel.
