NRS Brakes highlights EV brake pad key feature

NRS Brakes, manufacturer of high-quality brake pads, noted that proper brake pad selection is still of the utmost importance as car and light truck manufacturers begin producing electric vehicles (EVs). The braking safety systems on EVs typically remain unchanged from current ICE vehicles and brake pads are susceptible to the same threat of corrosion, NRS noted, leading to reduced brake pad life and potentially impacting stopping performance.

NRS Galvanized Brake Pads prevent corrosion using zinc-plating technology, compared to many traditional brake pads that utilize painted parts. Paint can chip and flake, inviting rust-causing corrosion to degrade the brake pad, according to the manufacturer. The NRS-patented mechanical brake pad attachment ensures that the engineered layers of the brake pad do not separate overtime. The NRS-patented mechanical brake pad attachment ensures that the engineered layers of the brake pad do not separate over time or crumble from corrosion.

NRS Galvanized Brake Pads employ premium semi-metallic and copper-free materials in its brake friction to ensure long life and stopping power. The premium materials used in NRS Galvanized Brake Pads also dissipate heat and cool efficiently. They also produce less brake dust, NRS noted. The NRS Piston Cushion Insert is designed to help reduce the noise level by up to 90%, NRS Galvanized Brake Pads are also quiet. The NRS Piston Cushion Insert acts as a barrier to minimize heat transfer to brake fluids, thus reducing brake noise.
