Phillips Connect releases Smart Trailer kits

The IoT kits communicate to its Connect1 platform that provides fleet analytics in real time.

Phillips Connect has assembled four “Internet of Trailers” kits, allowing fleets to convert to smart trailers. Smart trailer technology enables real-time diagnostics, fault detection, and trend reporting–increasing transparency and maximizing efficiency, the company noted. The kits come in three levels: Smart, Smarter and Smartest.

The Phillips Connect Smart kit includes TPMS and can be installed in 30 minutes, Phillips Connect noted in a press release. The Smarter Kit features the hidden/under-trailer installed StealthNet gateway to avoid theft and includes TPMS, ABS fault code visibility, and door and CargoVision monitoring. It can be installed in under one hour. The Phillips Connect Smartest Kit is equipped with the StealthNet gateway, CAN communication, TPMS, ABS fault code visibility, door and CargoVision monitoring and ATIS Lamp. Its a installation can be completed in one hour.

Additionally, the Phillips Connect Brilliant Kit features an array of sensors and data to provide a picture of a trailer’s health. The IoT kits communicate to its Connect1 platform that provides fleet analytics in real time, on-demand notifications, historical trends to assist with maintenance schedules and predictive analysis, geo-fencing and customization.
