Hyzon Motors announces new board chairman, vice chairman

Erik Anderson will serve as chairman, and Andrea Farace becomes vice chairman.

Hyzon Motors announced that its board of directors elected Erik Anderson as chairman, effective Aug. 24. Anderson replaces George Gu, who resigned his position. The board also elected Andrea Farace as vice chairman of Hyzon’s Board.

Anderson (pictured above) has served on Hyzon’s board of directors since 2021. He is founder and chief executive officer of WestRiver Group, and according to the company, he led four Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs) in the decarbonization space, seeking to identify impactful companies with scalable solutions to decarbonize the global economy.

Additionally, Andrea Farace, incoming vice chairman of the board, has spent 40 years in finance and general business management, including 20 years at Citigroup as chief executive officer or chief operating officer of several institutional businesses.
