Voyomotive is integrating its VoyoLink telematics platform with Samsara, provider of the Connected Operations Cloud.
VoyoLink, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, connects Samsara equipped fleets directly to the IT systems of service centers to reduce costs and downtime, according to the press release. The companies say that this integration between VoyoLink and Samsara enables proactive maintenance scheduling and remote issue assessment by service managers.
The program aims to reduce accidents by speeding up the trucking industry’s adoption of ADAS systems.
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) awarded a Phase 2 contract for the continuation of its TechCelerate Now (TCN) trucking technology analysis and education program. TCN is an ongoing FMCSA initiative in partnership with the ITS Joint Program Office. The TCN program is focused on accelerating the Adoption of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) by the trucking industry to reduce fatalities and prevent injuries and crashes. This Phase 2 of the initiative is a four-year program that will develop new and updated technical information and guidelines for various ADAS technologies.

The companies say customers can have their real-time data connected within a few clicks at no cost.
Continental said ContiConnect Lite helps fleet managers monitor the condition of their tires via bluetooth.
The company says the technology will help decrease both distracted and dangerous driving, while giving fleet managers to communicate faster.
