Thermo King introduces new Advancer S-DRC rail unit

These efficiencies, according to the press release, encompass a 10% boost in fuel efficiency compared to the previous generation.

Thermo King has introduced the Advancer S-DRC slimline rail unit. Utilizing the S-Series engine, the S-DRC will replace the company’s existing SLXi-DRC model, and will meet current CARB Ultra-Low Emission Transport Refrigeration Unit (ULETRU) emissions standards in all 50 states, the company said.

The company emphasizes that the Advancer S-DRC offers enhanced operational efficiencies, including: a 10% boost in fuel efficiency compared to the previous generation; advanced temperature management via a new control system; a slimline design facilitating a 15-pallet capacity; the inclusion of two ThermoLite solar panels; and integrated shore power capabilities.

Every Advancer S-DRC unit will also come equipped with Thermo King’s TracKing telematics, and there will be no service charge for the first 24 months of ownership, Thermo King notes. The telematics system monitors temperature, offers rapid alarm detection and security alerts when the doors are opened and helps detect fuel loss. Additionally, the company notes that it provides access to predictive analytics and performance dashboards.
