K&R unveils Goodyear retread and repair facility

K&R says the new operation can service tires on commercial trucks, warehouse vehicles, agricultural equipment and more.

K&R Truck Sales recently opened a new Goodyear tire retread and repair operation in Flint, Michigan.

K&R says capabilities at the new retread business include:

  • Servicing radial commercial truck tires ranging from 225/75R16 to 445/65R22.5;
  • Skid steer tires: 10-16.5 and 12-16.5;
  • Vulcanizing OTR tires;
  • Section repairs on farm tractor tires all the way up to big loader earth mover tires; and
  • Hard tire pressing for forklifts and other material handling equipment.

In addition to these services, K&R says the facility also offers rim reconditioning and roadside service, along with tire sales of brands including Goodyear, Cooper, Roadmaster and more.

“We are excited to expand our tire operations into the retread market. This facility represents a significant step forward in our mission to provide solutions for our customers,” says Ed Rietman, owner and dealer principal of K&R Truck Sales.
