Noregon recently announced the release of the latest major update for their diagnostic and troubleshooting application, JPRO Professional. It is now available for purchase or for existing customers to update, according to the company.
In JPRO Professional 2023 v2, off-highway coverage is available at no additional cost to subscribers and now includes improved bi-directional support for Komatsu equipment, including cylinder cut out tests, DPF regens, fuel leakage tests, and more, according to the company. JPRO Professional 2023 v2 also adds a Virtual Equipment option for students and technicians to simulate a live connection on off-highway equipment and practice diagnostics, the press release notes.
“One of the first troubleshooting steps a technician should check is whether the ECM’s firmware is up to date,” according to Jason Hedman, product manager at Noregon. “Outdated firmware can cause all sorts of issues that can lead techs down a time-consuming rabbit hole, when the solution is as simple as flashing the ECM. JPRO now alerts users when a firmware update is available for major component manufacturers like Cummins and Detroit.”
