The new 14-in. wide-base aluminum wheels weigh just 58 lbs., according to Alcoa. They are available in 0-, 1-, and 2-in. offsets to fit all axle types. The wide-base wheels are provided in clean buff, polished, Dura-Bright and Dura-Flange finish options.

The results change instantaneously as new information is entered. Users can also print out their results and file them for future reference when purchasing wheels or ordering vehicles.

Alcoa adds new 14-in. LvL ONE wheel to lineup

Alcoa Wheel and Transportation Products has added another member to its LvL ONE line. The new, 14-in. LvL ONE wide base wheel weighs only 62 lbs. Long-haul operators still running on steel wheels can realize a 1,344-lb. reduction in rig weight by converting to these new aluminum wheels, Alcoa noted. According to independent fuel studies, the conversion can result in fuel savings as high as 7%.

Alcoa introduces new stronger, lighter weight 24.5-in. LvL ONE wheel

Alcoa Wheel and Transportation Products recently rolled out the 24.5-in. LvL ONE wheel. The new wheel in the 24.5-in. x 8.25-in. standard wheel category works with load range “H” tires, with a load rating of 7,850 lbs., which is 450 lbs. more than steel alternatives and weighing 30 lbs. less.

Alcoa Automotive Wheels, a Cleveland, Ohio-based business unit of Alcoa Inc., has announced the extension of their Classic aftermarket catalog to include new 17-in., dually fitments for 3/4-ton and 1-ton trucks.

Alcoa offers new M-Series for Sprinter 3500

Alcoa Wheel and Transportation Products has announced a new medium-duty wheel designed for the Sprinter 3500 chassis. This new M-Series forged aluminum wheel is both lightweight and durable, the company said. Designed to improve styling options to RV, shuttle, van and work truck upfitters, the wheel option provides aluminum’s corrosion resistance, lighter weight and improved heat management for extended brake and tire life. In addition, the manufacturer said aluminum wheels enhance the resale value of used vehicles at trade-in.

Holland, Alcoa offer aluminum fifth wheel

SAF-HOLLAND Inc. introduced the Holland FWAL Lightweight Aluminum Fifth Wheel. Designed by SAF-HOLLAND and forged by Alcoa, it is the lightest-weight fifth wheel in the industry, the company said.
