Innovative Products of America said its new Pulsar with electronic fuse saver troubleshoots and identifies short circuits, parasitic and excessive amperage draws in vehicle electrical circuits. The tool can be connected in line with virtually any vehicle’s electrical circuit. It also features a manual mode to quickly pulse a desired level of current with the push of a button while monitoring the amperage draw in real time.

The durable cords are designed to perform flawlessly between 55 degrees below zero to over 190 degrees F.

Optically engineered LED WhiteLight Hook-Up Lamp from Grote

Grote Industries says it has released the market’s first purpose-built Hook-Up Lamp. Unlike traditional hook-up lamps that often cause a bright spot at the center of the beam pattern with usable light rapidly diminishing as the beam spreads, Grote’s new LED lamp creates a controlled, 250-lumen beam pattern that focuses brighter, more usable LED WhiteLight across the entire work area. The 12-volt (.6-amp) lamp is rated for 50,000 hours of service, emits less heat than incandescent lamps and draws significantly lower amperage than incandescent offerings.

Grote Industries has introduced the Trilliant 36 LED WhiteLight conversion bulb that the company said turns any PAR 36 incandescent lamp into an LED WhiteLight Lamp. With the simplicity of changing a light bulb, users can upgrade an existing incandescent or halogen lamp, transforming it into a brilliant 900-lumen LED WhiteLight lamp that lasts longer, shines brighter and delivers beam evenness, color temperature and contrast like sunlight, according to Grote.

Phillips Industries releases I-Box to aftermarket

Phillips Industries, a supplier and manufacturer of electrical and air brake interface equipment for the commercial vehicle industry, has released to the aftermarket its I-Box, which the company said is designed to handle the expanding electronic requirements of today’s trailers.

This nosebox has a third more working room inside the box that alleviates the wire pinching and pull-out that has become a problem with standard noseboxes on trailers with supplemental systems such as trailer tracking and weigh systems, Phillips noted.

Thermo King offers discounts on TriPac APU PM services

Thermo King Corp., a business unit of diversified industrial firm Ingersoll-Rand plc, has announced discounts on preventative maintenance services for its TriPac hybrid auxiliary idle reduction and temperature management system (APU). Customers can save up to $40 on preventative maintenance services, heater services and filter kits for the TriPac system in time for the winter season, according to Thermo King. This promotion runs now through Jan. 29, 2010 at participating Thermo King dealers across North America, the company added.
