Cole Hersee Co. introduces master battery disconnect switch
Cole Hersee Co., a manufacturer of heavy-duty electrical, electronic and digital products for the vehicle industry, introduced its new Master Battery Disconnect Switch (Part No. 75920), which the company said cuts off all battery power from the vehicle electrical system.
According to the maker, the master battery disconnect switch also provides an effective emergency power cutoff, protecting vehicles from tampering, theft and battery drain. The switch also provides service personnel with an extra level of safety, protecting them from hazards, and can be locked-out or tagged-out to satisfy OSHA requirements for energy isolation, Cole Hersee added.
Grote adds on-off switch to LED dome lamps
Grote Industries has released a new surface-mount bracket with an on-off switch for its LED WhiteLight interior dome lamps. The bracket can be engineered into new vehicles or retrofitted into existing vehicles, the company said. Peterson debuts new 10-diode Smart Lamps
Peterson said its new 10-diode, 4-in. round Piranha LED Smart Lamps are SAE J845 Class 2 compliant and DOT approved, and offer the latest in ultra-rugged wiring options plus the economy of only 10 diodes for refuse, maintenance and service vehicles. It’s the latest offering in the company’s line of warning lights that combine strobing LEDs and automatic turn signal override functions in one self-contained lamp. Digital “synchro wire” technology keeps lamps in both dual and quad system installations synchronized. No cumbersome external flasher or control box is required, the company noted.
Peterson expands Tunnel Light line
Peterson Manufacturing has expanded its LED line of Tunnel Lights with the new 274 Series, a 2-in. round, grommet-mounted accessory light for trucks and trailers. It joins the company’s 179 Series, whose unique optics first introduced the stunning 3D tunnel effect that led to its name. The two models feature an operating range of 8-16 volts and are available in both amber and red LED versions.
Superior Signals adds new LED surface light modules
Superior Signals Inc., a manufacturer of vehicle safety lighting and traffic control products for heavy-duty, highway, commercial, construction, utility and emergency vehicles, said it has added two new surface mount LED modules to the Meteorlite series, SYLEDS04 and SYSE4. Both are two-hole, flange mount modules with polycarbonate lenses and have four LEDs per head, the maker said.
