Mobil Delvac 1 LE 5W-30 low-viscosity, synthetic diesel engine oil is now available from ExxonMobil Fuels, Lubricants & Specialties Marketing Co. The new oil is recommended for use in diesel-powered commercial vehicles and a range of off-highway equipment used in construction, mining and agriculture applications. It also meets or exceeds a range of industry and manufacturer specifications.
In on-track testing using 2012 Freightliner Cascadia trucks loaded to 94% GVWR and 2011 Isuzu NPR-HD trucks loaded to 90% GVWR, Mobil Delvac 1 LE 5W-30 was compared to conventional 15W-40 engine oil. The use of Mobil Delvac 1 LE 5W-30 and other Mobil Delvac-branded synthetic lubricants, the company reports, was shown to improve average fuel economy by 3.4% for city driving conditions and 2.8% for highway driving conditions in the Isuzu trucks. Average fuel economy gains of 1.5% for city driving and 1% for highway driving were observed in the Freightliner Cascadia models.
Mobil Delvac 1 LE 5W-30 joins the ExxonMobil line of synthetic heavy-duty diesel lubricants available under the Mobil Delvac 1 and Mobil Delvac brand names, including Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5W-40 heavy-duty diesel engine oil, Mobil Delvac Synthetic Gear Oil, Mobil Delvac Synthetic Transmission Fluid 50 and Mobil Delvac Synthetic ATF.
