Hercules announces upgrades for medium truck tire warranty

Hercules Tire announced significant enhancements to its Hercules medium radial truck tire warranty, which covers all Hercules brand medium truck tire lines, including the H-Series offering. The comprehensive changes address free replacement, casing allowances and warranty duration, offering added coverage for eco-friendly, SmartWay Verified products, on applicable Hercules offerings, the company stated.

“Our medium truck offering, especially H-series, has been extremely well-received and has gained tremendous momentum over the past few years,” said Joshua Simpson, Hercules’ vice president of marketing. “It feels great to be able to thank our customers by giving them this great warranty coverage.”

Enhancements fall into three key categories:
– Extended Free Tire Replacement Period: The company has extended the replacement period for Hercules brand medium truck tires to 50% original tread life if the tire becomes unserviceable due to workmanship or material defects.
– Longer Warranty Period: All Hercules brand medium truck tires carry a minimum limited warranty of 60 months coverage against defects in workmanship or material. SmartWay verified tires, signified by the “EcoFT” logo, are now warranted for 72 months.
– Increased Casing and Retreading Allowances: Retreading and casing allowances for the first retread have been significantly improved, some by as much as 50%.

The enhanced warranty took effect on Jan. 1, 2014, with the extended replacement period applicable to tires purchased January 1, 2014 or later. Dealers and end-users should reference the Hercules brand medium truck tire warranty brochure for complete details
