Brake Parts Inc. highlights new Raybestos line of medium-duty brake pads

Brake Parts Inc. highlights its new Raybestos Truck and Medium-Duty and School Bus specialty friction lines of brake pads for medium-duty and air disc applications.

The Raybestos Truck and Medium-Duty line are manufactured with specially formulated semi-metallic friction materials that are mechanically attached to the backing plate. This process improves shear strength on large puck assemblies, reducing pad end lift and noise while increasing safety and pad life, the company says. Coverage includes Freightliner, Hino, International, Isuzu, Kenworth, Mack, Mercedes, Mitsubishi Fuso, Navistar, Peterbilt, Pierce, Sterling, Volvo and Workhorse. The brake pads also include coverage for Class 1 and 2 vehicles.

Raybestos School Bus disc brake pads deliver reliable, stable braking in all weather conditions and all types of driving, both rural and city, the company says, adding that the semi-metallic formulations are designed for safety for each school bus application and are mechanically attached to eliminate rust jacking. OE-matched part numbers cover most available applications and hardware is included.

“Fleet managers can rely on Raybestos to deliver safe, dependable, fade-resistant braking performance with consistent stopping power in all types of weather conditions,” said Jack Cameron, national sales manager of commercial vehicle for Brake Parts Inc. “Because these new brake pads also provide an excellent cost per mile, there is no need to look any further than Raybestos.”
