Bretthauer Oil offering biodiesel, renewable blend

Bretthauer Oil has announced the availability of REG Ultra Clean Diesel for bulk delivery and for purchase at Bretthauer Oil cardlock sites in Hillsboro, Ore., and McMinnville, Ore.

Bretthauer Oil has announced the availability of REG Ultra Clean Diesel for bulk delivery and for purchase at Bretthauer Oil cardlock sites in Hillsboro, Ore., and McMinnville, Ore.

Developed by Renewable Energy Group, Inc., Bretthauer Oil says REG Ultra Clean Diesel delivers superior performance with fewer emissions than conventional diesel, renewable diesel or biodiesel.

Bretthauer Oil will continue to offer conventional diesel products in addition to REG Ultra Clean Diesel, but will adopt REG Ultra Clean Diesel for its own fleet to decrease the company’s carbon footprint.

REG notes that REG Ultra Clean Diesel is a blend of renewable diesel and biodiesel, with 20% lower total hydrocarbon emissions, 25% lower carbon monoxide emissions and 40% lower particulate emissions than ultra-low sulfur diesel.

XL Specialized Trailers recently launched a new trailer model, the XL Knight 80 MFG. XL says the Knight, a 48-foot-long detachable gooseneck lowboy, has an overall capacity of 80,000 lbs. and a concentrated capacity of 70,000 lbs. in 16 ft. The company adds that the trailer offers 29 ft. of main deck loading space and a loaded deck height of 18 in.
