ZF expands aftermarket commercial vehicle solutions portfolio at HDAW ’21

ZF announced new aftermarket solutions for commercial vehicles during the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) 2021 virtual conference.

These new products are part of ZF’s newly-created Commercial Vehicle Control Systems (CVCS) Division, which was established when ZF acquired WABCO in May 2020. The WABCO product brand remains intact as part of the ZF portfolio.

ZF remanufactured air compressors

The new WABCO-branded aftermarket solutions ZF unveiled at HDAW include:

  • Cummins remanufactured air compressors now available directly to the independent aftermarket. ZF’s remanufactured air compressor portfolio now includes Cummins remanufactured air compressors made available directly to independent aftermarket customers, the company says. ZF says these remanufactured air compressors, including Cummins, provide original equipment (OE) equivalent performance in even the most demanding operating conditions.
  • Additional WABCO OnGuardActive collision mitigation system (CMS) retrofit kits. Five new retrofit kits have been added to the OnGuardActive retrofit portfolio, enabling fleets to install the advanced active safety technology on most Freightliner P3 Cascadia 2013-2020 model year vehicles. The radar-based system can assist drivers with recognizing and responding to potentially dangerous driving scenarios with moving or stationary vehicles ahead, ZF said.
  • WABCO EasyFit Automatic Slack Adjusters. Available for both truck and trailer applications, EasyFit Automatic Slack Adjusters (ASAs) can automatically compensate wear of the brake lining so the stroke of the brake cylinders remains unchanged, ZF says. They are also powder-coated for corrosion protection and designed with durability in mind, the company adds.
