Mobile fueling services that aim to meet fleet sustainability goals

It seems counter intuitive–bringing diesel fuel to your trucks to meet your sustainability goals. Yet, decarbonization starts with fuel efficiency, and what’s more efficient fuel usage: your fully loaded Class 8 truck hauling itself to the gas station to fill up or a smaller vehicle outfitted with a diesel tank coming to you?

Meeting sustainability goals can seem like it takes a massive fleet sea change, when in reality it means using less fuel tomorrow than you used today. That’s an approachable problem. One that Shell TapUp aims to address with its mobile fueling service. I connected with Daniel Arbour, CEO and global head of Shell TapUp. He walks us through the decarbonization advantages of mobile fueling and gives us a glimpse into other advantages, like curbing fuel fraud, which with diesel prices like we have today, it’s a welcome benefit.
