SAE’s commercial vehicle event to focus on building a sustainable future

This year's COMVEC event aims to advance sustainable vehicles through collaboration and addressing customer needs in the industry.

SAE International’s COMVEC 2023 brings industry professionals together to discuss trends, share successes, discover the latest research and technology, and tackle the challenges of a safe low-carbon vehicle future. This annual forum will take place Sept. 19-21, 2023, at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center in the Chicago suburb of Schaumburg, Ill.

SAE International’s COMVEC is a forum where experts in the on-highway, off-highway and defense sectors can collaborate in a neutral environment to find advanced technical solutions and address standards that help the industry stay ahead of new regulations.

COMVEC 2023 will welcome keynotes including:

  • Jill K. Sanchez, director, sustainability, Deere & Company, is responsible for leading the company’s sustainability strategy and execution, communicating the company’s ESG strategy and outcomes, and overseeing Deere’s sustainability reporting.
  • Robert Wagner Ph.D., division director, Buildings and Transportation Science, Energy Science and Technology Directorate, Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Dr. Wagner is known as a futurist for his ability to anticipate and predict emerging trends. This has enabled him to identify topics of increasing importance and develop symposiums at critical times and strategic locations to drive the discussion.

COMVEC 2023 also plans to feature panels discussing technology trends, and what’s top-of-mind for solving customer pain points and remain relevant in the commercial vehicle sector. Sustainability will also be a focus with industry experts discussing direct and indirect impacts of CO2 on overall product life cycle, including the design, manufacturing and supply chain processes.
