Stellantis executive to speak on sustainability at MEMA Sustainability Summit

Sustainability: Competing in Today’s Environment is a full-day conference co-hosted by the MEMA Center for Sustainability and MEMA Government Affairs.

Alison Jones, senior vice president of global circular economy at Stellantis, has been announced as a speaker at the MEMA Sustainability Summit on Aug. 15. The event will be held at the Michigan State University Management Education Center in Troy, Mich.

Jones’ speech plans to cover how the circular economy is a core pillar of the organization’s Dare Forward 2030 strategy, which aims to achieve carbon net zero by 2038.

In “Remanufacturing: Our Industrial and Innovative Scale Up,” Jones will highlight how Stellantis —through its SUSTAINera label—continues to grow sales through product range, customer offers, and worldwide expansion. SUSTAINera is a new label for Stellantis parts and accessories that indicates a saving of up to 80 percent materials and 50 percent of non-emitted CO2 as compared to its equivalent new parts. Jones’ session will touch on how Stellantis is working with industrial partners, suppliers and in-house teams to grow all aspects of its “4R” strategy: Reman, Repair, Reuse, and Recycle.
