SEG Automotive expands line of aftermarket starters and alternators

The company's aftermarket line of starters and alternators now includes 1,300 SKUs.

SEG Automotive North America announced an expansion of its aftermarket business in North America, adding 180 new SKUs to its aftermarket line of starters and alternators, which now includes 1,300 SKUs. SEG Automotive is a global supplier of starter motors, alternators and components for electrification powers over 300 million vehicles on the road today. With SEG Automotive North America, it brings its aftermarket lineup to the North America market.

“We will continue to invest in expanding our portfolio in 12-volt, 24-volt, and 48-volt applications to further strengthen our market coverage,” said Roberto Weiler, president of SEG Automotive the Americas.

In January 2018, SEG Automotive announced the acquisition of BOSCH’ Starter and Alternator OEM factories worldwide. SEG Automotive is a top OEM supplier in new starters and alternators, with new technologies that include Start/Stop systems and highly flexible solutions for hybrid vehicles and high voltage e-drives. SEG Automotive’s global production network includes more than 7,000 employees on six continents. The supplier’s portfolio covers a variety of product segments, including commercial vehicles.

SEG’s product offering is supported by a dedicated business unit with Localized Production in Lerma Mexico, Distribution Warehouses in Mexico and the U.S. with customer services, logistics and quality and coverage for the North American aftermarket.
