Valvoline ‘Fuel Proof Guarantee’ expands with new features

The program now includes any fleet with an existing telematics provider. Fleets are guaranteed at least 1.6% MPG gain with Valvoline heavy-duty motor oil and gear lubricant, and up to 4% MPG benefits to customers also using tiwiPro.

Valvoline’s Fuel Proof Guarantee program has been expanded to include any fleet with an existing telematics provider, the company said. Fleets are guaranteed at least 1.6% MPG gain with Valvoline heavy-duty motor oil and gear lubricant, and up to 4% MPG benefits to customers also using tiwiPro.

Transportation insurance specialist Brazos Specialty Risk can reduce auto liability premiums by up to 15% for fleet customers using an existing telematics unit. New partner Mansfield Oil delivers additional savings on bulk fuel purchasing.

Valvoline’s advanced synthetic blends and proprietary Dispersive Polymer Technology (DPT) have made Valvoline the only engine lubricant approved by Cummins for extended drain intervals (+5,000 miles).

The Fuel Proof Guarantee removes any financial risk from the product trial. If, at the end of the trial period, Valvoline lubricants aren’t delivering the fuel economy improvement as promised in fleet test vehicles, Valvoline said it will refund the incremental cost of the oil changes. The testing procedure, which uses a fleet’s existing telematics unit or tiwiPro data transmission for verification purposes, is approved to meet the EPA SmartWay J1321 protocol.

Why fuel filtration science matters

Fleetguard shares the story of filtration science leading to a biodiesel solution with a seven-time increase in performance.

Biodiesel consumption accelerated and feedstocks rapidly changed in 2022 as a result of an unanticipated shift in governmental policies that encouraged the consumption of biodiesel. In addition, geopolitical events limited supplies of conventional ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD).

Driving the consumption of these non-standard blends were governmental policies in many regions that required biodiesel consumption or encouraged it with financial incentives. In other regions, the impact of the war in Ukraine and other political instabilities constricted supplies of conventional fossil diesel.
