Aljex Software Inc. opened a western technology center in Boulder, Colo. The new Aljex Technology Center is devoted to the generation of new breakthroughs in both the business and the art of transportation management, said Aljex.
The new Aljex Technology Center in Boulder supplements the Aljex home office in Middlesex, N.J., where sales, administration and programming remain headquartered, said Tom Heine, chief executive officer.
“Our excellent technology team will continue to operate in Middlesex, where we began as a small startup in 1995 and grew to become a major player in transportation management technology,” Heine said. “Our customers drive our research and development, and their needs have prompted us to expand our programming team to help them expand their businesses.”
Basing the Aljex Technology Center 25 miles north of Denver in Boulder made sense from a number of perspectives, including the convenience of being closer to many customers in the western states, added the company.
“We’ve chosen Boulder because it’s a booming magnet for technology and programming talent,” Heine said.
Heine pointed out that technology giants like Facebook, Google, Bing, Oracle, IBM, Microsoft and others maintained offices and development teams in Boulder, adding that according to Forbes Magazine, a new technology startup launches in Colorado every 72 hours.
“We’re drawing from the extraordinary talent pool in Boulder to keep bringing Aljex customers the ground-breaking innovations that keep them ahead of their competitors—and us ahead of ours,” Heine said.
Heine also stated Aljex has hired six programmers and two project managers in Boulder so far and will be adding more staff going forward.
“Aljex is very proud to be part of the vibrant, creative technology community in Boulder. We look forward to bringing their talents to bear on behalf of our transportation customers,” he said.
