How to remotely coach your truck drivers with video telematics

No script? No plan? No problem. Welcome to Fleet Equipment Unscripted—the video interview series that connects you with the greatest minds in the heavy-duty trucking world.

In the midst of a nationwide social distancing order and many states issuing Stay at Home orders, staying connected with your equipment and the men and women who operate them is more important than ever. And just because the road might be wide open, doesn’t mean that safe equipment operation should slack. So how can you stay connected to your equipment and its drivers when you’re working from home or socially distancing at the office?

I put the question to Kristin Costas, Lytx’s director of product management, who talked about the most coachable driver behaviors, tips for implementing a video-based training program and walked me through how Lytx’s remote coaching application works. Watch the video above for all of the training tips.
