Kinetics hybrid system expands Class 3-7 work truck availability

The Kinetics hybrid system from Crosspoint Kinetics is now available for the Isuzu Reach platform, the Ford E-350, the Dodge 5500, the Chevy 4500, and dozens more, according to Crosspoint Kinetics. The Kinetics Hybrid system is a electric hybrid system that fits virtually most Class 3-7 delivery and work trucks, said the company.

“As long as the front engine, rear drive vehicle has a wheelbase of at least 158-in., we can bolt-on the Kinetics Hybrid system,” said Amy Dobrikova, vice president of business development and strategy at Crosspoint Kinetics. “That makes the Kinetics Hybrid a more versatile system for fleets that lease, run multiple models, or that want to move the hybrid from one vehicle to another based on when they retire their vehicles.”

The Kinetics hybrid system bolts on to new or existing vehicles, according to Crosspoint Kinetics. The company noted that fleets have reported “up to 30% more miles per gallon and a comparable reduction in emissions when the hybrid is used in heavy start/stop duty cycles.”

The Kinetics Hybrid fits on the following chassis:

  • Chevy 4500 “G”
  • Ford E-350
  • Ford E-450
  • Ford F-350
  • Ford F-450
  • Chevy 4500, Class 5
  • Dodge 5500
  • GMC, Class 5-7
  • Ford F-59 chassis
  • Ford F-550
  • Ford F-650
  • Ford F-750
  • Freightliner, Class 5-7
