Link’s 85K releases air link tandem drive chassis suspension

Link Mfg., Ltd.‘s 85K air link tandem drive chassis suspension is now commercially available for select makes and models.

Originally designed to meet the demands of the U.S. military, the 85K Air Link has been optimized for heavy vocational commercial applications.

Link’s 85K air link tandem drive chassis suspension is designed with large, high-volume, low-frequency air springs that the company says will enable occupants to experience a consistently smooth and comfortable ride whether their vehicle is under load or empty. Link adds dual height-control valves ensure proper ride height and vehicle leveling are maintained, thus maximizing roll stability regardless of the weight and balance of a vehicle’s cargo.

The 85K is off-highway rated and are treated with Link’s Link-KOAT migratory self-healing metal treatment. The company says Link-KOAT provides corrosion resistance and rust protection, even when surfaces are exposed to excessive abrasion, harsh chemicals and other severe-duty environmental factors. The 85K Air Link Tandem Drive Chassis Suspension includes an extended three-year warranty.

The Auxiliary Axle Systems division of Hendrickson Specialty Products introduced the new HLC Series 1 Air Kits. According to Hendrickson, the new HLC Series is designed to be a drop-in replacement for the previous generation HAC Series.

Users can choose between two two different configurations: HLC-SSI, for self-steerable applications, and HLC-NSI for non-steerable applications. Hendrickson says the HLC-SSI is equipped with an electric-actuated toggle switch and possesses the ‘lift on reverse’ feature, while HLC-NSI is designed with a manual push-pull operation and is suited for applications that do not need to lift when in reverse. The company tells us both kits were tested to perform in extreme environmental conditions.
