Morgan Truck Body, Masterack unveil full-height walkthrough compact parcel van body

Morgan Truck Body, in collaboration with its JB Poindexter & Co (“JBPCO”) business unit partner Masterack, has announced the latest evolution in Parcel Van Walkthrough bodies, providing an accessible full-height walkthrough in a compact body. Mounted on a cutaway van chassis, the 16-foot parcel van body is Morgan Truck Body’s most compact parcel delivery vehicle, featuring a number of new features including:

  • Wider, taller and more ergonomic walkthrough bulkhead
  • Modular fold-away shelving system designed by Masterack
  • 28-inch modular Maximizer Sliding Door with custom-built shelving on the interior door pocket
  • Narrow rear-frame door opening, protecting your shelving and packages during ingress and egress
  • Encapsulated hardwood floor with anti-slip surface
  • Lightweight, thermally efficient, high-density foam core wall panels.\

Motiv Power Systems, a provider of EV trucks and buses, announced its next-generation electric trucks for medium-duty fleets. Motiv says its new trucks include a new motor and a new battery system assembled with a more efficient powertrain design with fewer parts. 

Motiv says it worked with Nidec to design and patent a six-phase motor and motor controller producing torque that surpasses internal combustion engine (ICE) counterparts. Motiv also co-developed and has patents pending for its battery interface to the new battery system, the first ONE Aries LFP battery system on the market, capable of reaching a 200-mile range on a single charge. The company notes that the base version is rated at 150 miles range.
