Orange EV highlights its products’ ability to help warehouse operators in Southern California with sustainable solutions to meet the annual WAIRE compliance obligations, according to the company’s recent press release.
Every year under the Warehouse Actions and Investments to Reduce Emissions (WAIRE) Program, affected warehouse operators in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) must earn their required WAIRE points or pay a mitigation fee of $1,000 per point. According to Orange EV, operators acquiring and using just one of its yard truck and charging cabinet are earning more than 1,400 WAIRE points in one compliance period. With heavier use, one Orange EV truck and charger can earn more than 2,000 points, the equivalent of $2 million in mitigation fee offsets, the company notes.
